Trust and permissions in Web apps [HTML5Apps/W3C meeting]

The W3C SysApps Working Group is organizing a meeting on trust and permissions in Web apps in Paris on 3-4 September 2014.

The two day meeting, hosted by Gemalto, will review the limitations of existing standards, and discuss insights gained from experience with native app platforms, hybrid and proprietary Web platforms. We all agree on the value of standards for richer capabilities for Web apps where there is sufficient developer demand — the question is: how to do this safely?!

Web developers, Web standards makers, Web architects, implementers, practitioners, etc. are welcome to attend!

The meeting venue is restricted in space, so we are limiting attendance to one person per organization. Priority will be given to companies that are actively implementing extensions to the Open Web Platform, and interested in participating in developing standards for handling trust and permissions for Web applications.

If you are interested in attending the meeting, please email Dave Raggett by 1 August 2014.
